Acoustic C Stud

The Acoustic Stud provides a cost-effective solution for enhancing acoustic performance in both domestic and commercial settings. Featuring built-in discontinuity, it significantly improves sound insulation while maintaining structural integrity. Designed to offer superior sound isolation across key frequency bands, this stud allows for the construction of slimmer partitions, maximising floor space without compromising on acoustic performance.

Partitions built using Acoustic Studs follow the same construction method as those using standard "C" studs. All existing track sections are compatible, and plasterboard fixing centres remain the same. To ensure optimal soundproofing performance, careful attention must be given during construction. Sound, like water, light, and air, will find even the smallest gap and expose it as a weak point. Therefore, the structure should be treated as if it were to be waterproofed. To prevent flanking sound transmission, all gaps in the installation should be sealed with acoustic sealant along all edges and both sides of the partition.
