Everbuild Sika EVBFIRE Fire Mate Intumescent Sealant White C3

The Everbuild range of fire sealants is a five-hour rated, one-part, emulsion acrylic-based, intumescent acoustic sealant that provides a robust yet flexible seal for joints in various fire-rated structures.

Tested in accordance with BS 476 Part 20 (1987) and documented in Warrington Fire Research Report No. 144508/B (February 2005), this sealant is designed to withstand the passage of fire for up to five hours when applied in appropriately designed joints. The selected fillers in the formulation also grant excellent acoustic properties, making it ideal for use as an acoustic sealant.

Upon exposure to heat, the sealant expands to more than three times its original size, forming a char that resists fire for up to five hours. No priming is required for most construction substrates.

The Everbuild fire sealants are suitable for joints up to 50mm wide, offering superior soundproofing benefits. The sealant is easy to apply, tool off, and provides a neat finish. It cures quickly—becoming tack-free within 15 minutes—and is overpaintable. Available in white or brown.
