These Forgefix Phillips single-thread Drywall Screws are finished with a black phosphate coating, enhancing durability and corrosion resistance. Supplied in boxes of 500 and 1,000, they come complete with a Phillips No.2 insert bit. The screws feature a Bugle Head, allowing them to sink smoothly into dry lining without the need for countersinking, thus minimising surface damage.

APPLICATION:
Intended for fixing dry linings to studwork.

Phosphate coatings consist of thin crystalline layers of phosphate compounds that adhere to the surface of the fastener. The porous phosphate crystals can be made from zinc, manganese, or iron phosphate solutions. This coating offers excellent corrosion resistance and improves the appearance, durability, and abrasion resistance of the fastener by absorbing additional coatings.

The Phillips screw is equipped with four tapered slots, designed to increase torque when turned with a Phillips screwdriver. If the torque exceeds the screw's limit, the screwdriver tip will disengage from the screw, preventing over-tightening and potential damage to the screw head.

Coarse-thread screws are fitted with a sharp point, enabling them to easily penetrate plasterboard. The coarse threads ensure a secure fix by easing into the board and timber baton, holding the board firmly in place.
