These Forgefix Phillips single-thread Drywall Screws are finished with a black phosphate coating to enhance their durability. Available in boxes of 500 and 1,000, each pack includes a Phillips No.2 insert bit. The Bugle Head design enables the screw to sink smoothly into the dry lining without the need for countersinking, reducing the likelihood of surface damage.
Application:
Ideal for securing dry linings to studwork.
Phosphate Coating Benefits:
Phosphate coatings consist of thin crystalline layers of phosphate compounds that bond to the surface of the fastener. These porous crystals, which can be composed of zinc, manganese, or iron phosphate solutions, offer exceptional corrosion resistance. The coatings also excel in absorbing supplementary coatings, further improving the screw’s appearance, corrosion resistance, and abrasion resistance.
Phillips Screw Design:
The Phillips screw features four tapered slots, allowing the screw to engage with a Phillips-tip screwdriver. This design enables controlled torque application, with the screwdriver tip disengaging when excessive torque is reached, preventing over-tightening and damage to the screw head.
Coarse Thread Screws:
Coarse-thread screws are equipped with an exceptionally sharp point, designed to easily penetrate the plasterboard skin. The coarse thread allows the screw to securely grip both the plasterboard and the timber batten, ensuring a firm hold.
