Isocheck Expandastrip is an open-cell polyurethane foam, treated with chemically stabilised acrylic and backed by self-adhesive scrim tape.
Once unpacked and applied, Expandastrip expands to fill joints, including any irregularities or imperfections, maintaining permanent elasticity. Its outstanding flexibility makes it ideal for use with uneven surfaces and compatible with materials such as concrete, brick, steel, plastics, timber, and fibrous materials.
Supplied in rolls that are mechanically compressed to one-sixth of their original thickness, Expandastrip features a self-adhesive side for easy application. When fully expanded, it acts as a light air baffle. By limiting expansion to 25% of its compressed thickness, Expandastrip also offers a weatherproof seal against heavy rain and wind.
Expandastrip is perfect for sealing joints between precast units, around doors and window frames, and between corrugated roofing panels, roof structures, and roof lights, as well as ventilation and air conditioning ducts. It is also used as a primary or secondary seal for both vertical and horizontal joints in building facades, as well as in metal cladding systems, window perimeter curtain walling, and skylights.
