The Isocheck Expandastrip is a versatile open-cell polyurethane foam, impregnated with chemically stabilised acrylic and backed with self-adhesive scrim tape for easy application.
Designed to remain permanently elastic, Expandastrip expands upon unpacking to fill joints, including those with irregularities or imperfections. Its remarkable flexibility makes it an excellent solution for uneven surfaces, and it is compatible with materials such as concrete, brickwork, steel, plastics, timber, and fibrous components.
Supplied in rolls that are compressed to one-sixth of their original thickness, Expandastrip features a self-adhesive backing for seamless installation. At full expansion, it acts as a light air baffle, and when limited to 25% expansion, it provides a weather-tight seal against driving rain and wind.
Expandastrip is ideal for sealing joints between precast units, around doors and window frames, or between corrugated roofing panels, roof structures, roof lights, and HVAC ductwork. It is also widely used as a primary or secondary seal for vertical and horizontal joints in building facades, metal-painted cladding systems, window perimeters, curtain walling, and skylights.
