Resilient Bar 3000mm

When constructing a traditional ceiling beneath timber joists, Resilient Bars are designed to improve acoustic insulation. To further enhance soundproofing, mineral wool can be installed within the floor cavity. For optimal noise reduction, it is essential that plasterboard screws do not penetrate the joists.

For both single and double board applications, resilient bars should be fixed at right angles to the joists, with a maximum spacing of 450mm. As these bars are typically used for 1800mm boards, the fixing centres should be adjusted to 400mm when installing 2400mm boards. Additionally, resilient bars can be incorporated into metal or timber stud walls to further enhance acoustic performance.
